What is The TOLI-BOX?

Thinking Out of the BOX by Living In a BOX is an experiment to challenge my habitual and often automatically made decisions and life. By moving into a tiny box, with only absolutely necessary items, I must change my thinking and acting. My automatisms and routine decisions will be disrupted and force me to think out of the box and into a new way of life.

First and foremost, the journey is the destination. I wish to gain new insights that help me to find or define my purpose or sense of life. Derived from this my awareness should increase, so I will live a healthier, better and above all happier life.

What does the BOX look like?

The TOLI-BOX is is a really small, L-shaped living cabin, which can be placed on a standard pick-up truck. This BOX contains all the basic amenities of a house but in a tiny format. That means a kitchen with one cooking plate, sink, refrigerator, bathroom with dry toilet mirror cabinet and shower, table with two seats, and king-size bed. For the cold season, it has oil heating and the electricity is provided by a solar panel. As a luxury, there is also a large roof tent with direct access through the cabin roof.

When does it start and is there an End date?

As a result of an illness at Covid, the launch was postponed to Feb. 1, 2022.

Since then the TOLI-BOX is my primary home. As the BOX is mounted on my pickup truck, my home location changes as soon as I drive, so my location automatically becomes my temporary home.

I will continuously record my findings and provide a comprehensive conclusion after one year at the latest.
